I am research scientist at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (GDIT Contractor).
I earned my PhD from UNC Chapel Hill. I graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training where I also competed for the varsity wrestling team. I completed my Master of Science in Kinesiology with concentration in Athletic Training at Temple University.
My doctoral work was at the Matthew Gfeller Center. I was advised by Dr. Jason Mihalik. My research goals are to identify brain structural and functional changes caused by neurotrauma including brain injury and blast exposure.
I use multimodal neuroimaging and blood biomarkers to detect tissue changes that may increase risk for adverse chronic neurological outcomes.
